Don't Let Your Guard Down

Stay safe to everyone in Hurricane Florence's path. Triggering stuff is everywhere. Protect yourself as best you can.

One sad thing that happens to many trauma survivors. One minute they're relatively stable. Then something happens that causes them to drop their guard. The pain is too much and they kill themselves.

Would that ever happen to us? No. But you can't let your guard down. By the end of the day you're totally wiped out. But what choice do you have?

Day 19 of the Shutdown

The shutdown continues. More innocent people are being endangered. At least one person has died. How come nobody's been prosecuted? Is this murder? Criminally negligent homicide? A Long Day of Fighting Symptoms

You fight because you have to. Constant exhaustion and symptoms are always there. Pain and evil is all over the place. Despite that, you have to fight to try and keep some sense of being grounded. You feel abandoned, sad and not sure of what to do. But you know it's not your fault. Like anyone with incurable conditions, you do your best to cope. Protect yourself.
